Inside Boston Public Library 1926

Visitors walk up the French Echaillon marble steps of the Boston Public Library in Boston's Copley Square in June 1926. The landing is flanked by two lion statues made of Siena marble, memorials to the officers and men of the Massachusetts regiments in the Civil War. The one shown here is dedicated to the Second Regiment.
