Tip Top House At Mount Washington Summit 1976
The Tip Top House at the summit of Mount Washington in New Hampshire, Oct. 21, 1976. The state historic site was built in 1853 as the second hotel on the summit. The original building survived a fire in 1908 that destroyed the other buildings on the summit before also burning down in the early 1900s. It was rebuilt shortly after before being abandoned again in 1968.
