Battling Pier Fire 1984

Fire boats battle a six-alarm fire that broke out along two piers and a railroad bridge along the Charles River, six feet from Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital on Nashua Street in Boston on Jan. 20, 1984. According to a fire department spokesman, 125 firefighters fought the blaze, but no patients were harmed.
