Crowds At Pres. Lyndon B. Johnson Speech 1964
Crowds pack Post Office Square in Boston to listen to President Lyndon B. Johnson speak on Oct. 27, 1964, 11 months after John F. Kennedy was assassinated. During his speech, President Johnson said that he had come back to Boston, "because this is where I started four years ago. I came back tonight not because I have the slightest doubt about Boston or Massachusetts. But I came back because I never wanted them to have the slightest doubt about me."
